Woods Coffee Bar

Had a great Monday lunch here recently August 2024. Simple but very fresh food, that tasted great and looked great on the plate. The 3 other people with me had an equally great experience. They finished off with Cake which they said was fantastic, I was looking after my waist line, which I regretted later. Well priced, amazing atmosphere, very clean and great service.

The cake here is absolutely exceptional! As is the coffee! Great menu & lots of options. The two girls behind the counter are lovely. The Secret Bakes counter in there is on another level (the stuffed cookies are amazing). We’ll be regular visitors with the quality of treats on offer this high!

Happily stumbled upon this little cafe when shopping nearby at the retail park. Lovely interior, great staff, and wonderful food. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy, we could have easily spent hours there, it was a well needed escape from the busyness outside! I would highly recommend and happily go back in future. Drinks include coffee and tea, ample food available including breakfast options, panini’s, sandwiches and cakes. Highly appreciate the veggie options and alternative milk (oat, soy etc) for tea and coffee.

We visited here today for afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my mum and we were thoroughly impressed!!! We had never been to this coffee bar/cafe before, but the quality and selection of food/drink was absolutely amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was all really fresh and tasted delicious. What I really liked about this afternoon tea was that you get to pick your sandwich fillings from a list so you can choose ones you know you like. Also the unlimited tea/coffee includes coffee of any choice too (latte, cappuccino etc) which was surprising, but really good! The staff were really accommodating with making me a plain scone too and everything came exactly as ordered. The cakes were of really high standard. For 17, the portion size was fantastic; each person gets 1 sandwich (2 rounds of bread) a large sausgae roll, crisps, small side salad, 1 scone with jam & cream, 4 pieces of cake and unlimited tea or coffee. Well worth the money spent! I was also happy and relieved to know that the sausage rolls had been kept refrigerated (it tasted cold when eating) as so many places leave sausgae rolls sitting out on the counter for hours which I personally find off putting, so I'm glad that wasn't the case here. It was a really lovely place inside, nice atmosphere, great decor and spacious. I will definitely be recommending this place to people I know and I will be returning to sample other things too. There was so many other delicious looking cakes on the counter such as cookie pie made by their extremely talented baker Josh and I look forward to trying more cakes from here in the future! Went here for the first time recently, I have to say it's the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Good portion sizes, good price. my eggs Benedict was absolutely spot on!! will definitely be going back for breakfast and one of their cakes. Good size seating area and relaxed atmosphere

Lovely coffee bar, tucked away in a small industrial area, highly recommend Service was excellent, great choice of locally made cakes and pastries.. Will try something from the menu next time. On entering the coffee bar was met by the owners adorable pooch, very friendly See you soon Woods, we'll be back for brekki.

Stumbled across this cafe/coffee bar after giving up trying to find somewhere to park in the city and my partner googling local places and said shall we try here... And I'm so pleased we did, tucked out of the way but well worth a visit. Place has been done out lovely, service was friendly and efficient. Coffee was great and the food was delicious. Will be heading back next time I'm in the area & will make sure I bring some of the tasty sweet treats back with me as they all looked amazing. Couldn't fault this place. Hidden Gem.

I had the full English which was great. Nice butchers sausages and fresh eggs. Only slight issue was plate not quite big enough. Wife had cheese jacket with coleslaw. Bit stingy on the cheese but overall was good. Their cakes are great!! Good portion and if you like chocolate it's a must. Good selection . They also have loyalty card.
